wooop

So today I actually got up and went into uni on time (i know wow right!) and then when I got there I realised that we were actually just going to be continuing with our work. I hate working in a room full of people who obviously know what they’re doing whilst I’m clearly in a bit of trouble, so I headed over to my sisters house. She has an expert knowledge of Dreamweaver, so with her advice (and a bit of referencing to the Goldstone tutorial!) I spent the whole day patching together my website. And it actually looks pretty amazing. I’m really proud of it.

So all I have to do is  write my contexual analysis and stick everything on a disc and I’m done!

Feels quite good.

I just can’t miss any more uni or I’m going to get myself into a hole.

Oh dear.

Under 2 weeks left

feeling slightly nervous? I dunno, 2 weeks seems ages away, but I’m working at Geek Station (lol thankyou alex) pretty much full time now and I don’t really have time for much else. Not about to give up my weekly Consortium thoughhhhh!

Today was good, because I actually started to develop my website, which is something I had only thought about briefly before.

The essay is still weighing down on me and I can see myself doing it the night before. Hopefully I wont get to that stage but it nearly always happens. I’m just the least organised person in the world.

Also, my Deftones obsession is spiralling a little bit and I’ve started scouting around tattoo parlours in the area. This has nothing to do with anything I just thought I’d drop it in there. I’ve been wanting to get a some white pony lyrics inked on me for a while now, and I have a pretty healthly bank balance thanks to my full time shifts. Why not! an early Christmas present. Ofcourse my mum would freak, but I want to get them on my right side just beneath my ribs. There’s no reason for her to see it! Mwahaha.

Surrealism

So I’ve finally decided to take this research seriously! Not that I haven’t been already, but the deadline is dawning and I’ve realised that I really need to get a move on with my ideas, they’re not flowing quick enough.

Tonight I’ve been browsing deviantart looking for inspiration. As a deviant myself I’m pretty good at the skimming the amount of rubbish on this website.

This rather conceptual image caught my attention, and as I read the artists description some ideas immediately began to spiral. “Some say that their cell phone, laptop, or MP3 player is attatched to their hip. Well what would happen if it became a part of them?” 

I’ve now began to look at the human form as part of nature, something that may sound obvious but I hadn’t really considered it before. I want to try and fuse things together. I’m not really sure how to explain this, but I’ll check back in a few days and note down where I’m at.

Now, in my social world! Last night was Halloween! Didn’t really have a costume, and after weighing up the options we decided to go for a diy outfit and spend our money on alcohol instead. So basically we wore black and made slashes on ourselves with red lipstick and blusher and whatever else we could get our hands on. Finished off with some black eyeshadow around the eyes, not bad considering it didn’t cost anything! Then we (well, me and Rosie really! haha) got really trashed on wine and lost our sense of balance completely. We had a look around, and it seemed the only place that wasn’t completely heaving was Consortium so we headed there and had a boogie. Was a really good night actually! This morning wasn’t so great (wine hangovers are the worst!) but todays been really easy and thats why I’m feeling so eager to get on with this project.

First day at work tomorrow! 8.45am eeeeeeeek. But still, should be a laugh. We’ll see.
